Happy Mother’s Day!

Here in Oklahoma, the weather outside is beautiful. The clouds are puffy, the sun is shining and the breeze is fresh and cool as it caresses your face. It is the perfect day. I am blessed to have my mother living with me. I wanted to take a moment to share with you all how thankful I am for not just my mother, but for all mothers.

The love that mothers give is unlike any other. When you really think about unconditional love, realize how hard it is to love someone unconditionally. We all have flaws. Some are big and some are small, but none are easy to just accept. That’s where our mothers come in. They love us - despite our flaws, every time we mess up, and no matter what we do.

Imagine a world where we attempted to love one another with that same kind of love our mothers give us. If we tried to love the “unlovable”. I am not saying I do this. I try. I am saying that I try, fail, and try again.

Love your neighbor. Celebrate your mother. Help others celebrate not only their mothers, but their “unlovable” neighbors.
